The peal is tuned to the Key of  F (703 Hz). The old fourth bell of the six, cast by Henry Jordan of Aldgate, London, circa 1440, is now hung as the Clock bell, as it was not suitable for tuning correctly into a major scale. Hence the requirement for three new bells by Taylor of

Loughborough, for the Augmentation from 6 to 8
